Who we are

WHY SELF-KNOWLEDGE?

At Know Yourself Centre, we know the greatness of knowing yourself. We imagine current and future generations of people who are grounded in themselves, understand their own self, challenge the self into action by navigating life’s circumstances, knowing they are able to affect their own outcomes, promote self-knowledge and have the ability to feel compassion and tolerance for others. This is the promise of teaching self-knowledge.

Know Yourself Centre was created to make self-knowledge part of every individual and learner’s education, regardless of socio-economic status, race, culture and location resulting in an increased sureness in their abilities and themselves. It’s not a surprise that people who know who they are, are better and successful at everything they do. These are teachable skills, and every individual and learner deserve to start life with this critical foundation. Recognizing that self-knowledge is the missing component in modern education and life, through our comprehensive program we bring self-knowledge curriculum to learners and individuals across the country and around the world.

Core Mission and Vission

OUR MISSION

To make self-knowledge a fundamental revolution in oneself.

OUR VISION

To teach and inspire individuals and learners to be grounded in the awesomeness of their own self-knowledge and equip them to make healthy decisions about their minds and bodies. Through a deep sense of self-knowledge, individuals and learners are able to better relate to others and contribute to a society with more compassion, love and respect.

OUR VALUES

It is great to know yourself.

Always Know the self and do great things.

Always Know the self and challenge the self into action.

It is great to promote self-knowledge.

The subject is more complicated and fascinating because the subject is you. If you’ve come this far, don’t stop now. The pursuit of self-knowledge will help you confront and resolve personal issues no matter how painful or deep they may be. These are obstacles obscuring your path to understanding what philosophers and psychologists call the true self. Self-knowledge provides you with the tools and the ability to change your perception, to rid yourself of baggage carried within your mind for so long, bringing peace and integration of all parts of yourself into your life. In going to the source, toward root causes, you can bring about a permanent change in your perception and understanding of your pain, its cause and its resolution. If you’ve only just begun the self-knowledge journey you may be surprised to learn that it is incredibly difficult to know yourself. Benjamin Franklin wrote in his 1750 Poor Richard’s Almanac that “There are three things extremely hard: steel, a diamond, and to know one’s self. Lao Tzu, the ancient Chinese philosopher in the 6th century BCE, wrote, “He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.” Equally, Carl Jung said, “Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” Similarly, Aristotle said, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” The sum total of philosophic inquiry is said to have been summarized by Socrates who said, “Know thyself.” Plato similarly phrased it, “The unexamined life is not worth living.”
