Raphael Nakitare, entrepreneur, educator, writer and father, is passionately committed to his mission to deliver the message of Self-knowledge to university and Secondary students in Kenya and around the globe.
Through the launch of Knowyourselfcentre.org, Nakitare, set out to revolutionize the modern education system by ensuring that Self-knowledge education finds its rightful place in Kenya’s curriculum. Through knowyourselfcentre.org website, Nakitare reinforces the commitment to reaching, representing and supporting University and Secondary students in being masters of their own self-knowledge.
Inspired by the curiosity of his own teaching both at the University and High School level, and dissatisfied with the resources available, Nakitare, the visionary behind Know Yourself Centre, set out with a series of programs that teach University and High School Students about self-knowledge because students who have a grounding knowledge of themselves are better at school, sports, friendships, choose better careers — everything!
Prior to founding Know Yourself Centre, Nakitare enjoys a successful 10-year career in teaching industry, holding key positions both at University and High School level. Nakitare currently serves as a Co-Lecturer at Nazarene University in Kenya. He is also the founder of Nakitare Foundation where he is supporting secondary education for disadvantaged students.
Nakitare received his Masters of Arts in Religious Studies from University of Nairobi in Kenya and Bachelors of Arts in Education from Mount Kenya University in Kenya. Nakitare is currently registered as a Doctor of Philosophy student in Religion at Nazarene University in Kenya. Nakitare is registered with Kenya Teachers Service Commission as a teacher.
